USDA Updates Coronavirus Food Assistance for Contract Growers

This week the USDA announced it would update its Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2 (CFAP 2) aid payments. The appropriations bill provided up to $1 billion to contract growers for lost revenue in 2020. The policy originally included those who raise broilers, pullets, layers, chicken eggs, turkeys, hogs and pigs, ducks, geese, pheasants and quail. The updated bill now includes all breeding stock, eggs and poultry types. Find out how you can apply before the Oct. 12 deadline.
