In a recent White House Press Conference, USDA Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack said consolidation in beef, pork and poultry processing is causing higher prices at the grocery store. While prices hike, the Biden Adminstration states meatpacking companies are enjoying record profit, despite the pandemic. However, meat processor Tyson Foods rejects the statement, saying higher prices are due to a number of reasons, including labor shortages.
