Nearly 918,000 acres have been burned across a span of 12 states with California being a prime victim. The golden state’s largest Beckwourth Complex fire has been described as an extreme situation. There are three times the number of acres on fire this year than compared to the same time last year in California. The Spokane, Washington, Snake River Complex wildfire, which was started by lightening and is actually made up of three fires, has also left its mark in the state.
