Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO) and Enhanced Coverage Option (ECO) policies are drawing renewed interest among farmers. Recent policy tweaks raised their premium subsidy to 80%, making them significantly more affordable to stack with underlying policies. Growers can now also choose SCO whether they enroll in Agricultural Risk Coverage (ARC) or Price Loss Coverage (PLC). SCO and ECO are area-based add-ons that can help protect against county-level yield or revenue losses beyond your base Multiple Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) coverage.
